I am, at heart, a connector. Reconnector. I make and then remake. I do and then redo. I make and make and make and then sort among the efforts in search of elements that, when combined, might achieve a greater whole. I reduce expectation on creating something right. I have doffed the decades-long bugaboo that things should be correct, nailed, perfect. I happen to revel in the skirmishes and attempts. And then in the puzzling and piecing together of an unintended possibility. Collage is the form that best embodies my nature.
Some of these are quite large. But most of the unsold ones here are more modest. The Sharon Weiss Gallery is presenting a selection of large, mostly 18 x 24 collages in a September exhibit. Go to CONTACT and shoot me if you're interested in knowing more, etc.
